The Road that Takes Me Home (album)

THE GOSPEL IN 20 MINUTES

HOW DO THESE SONGS PRESENT THE GOSPEL?

Lamentation: All one has to do is note how many commercials on television are geared toward those suffering from depression. Why are so many depressed? With the sins of abortion, infidelity, dishonesty, and corruption so prevalent throughout our culture, the question is Why shouldn’t people be depressed? Medication doesn’t get to the root of these behaviors, nor can it provide a solution. This song identifies where those without Christ live.

Sinner, Repent & Believe: The first song identified the problem. This one presents the means to the relief that only Christ can bring.

The Road That Takes Me Home: This is the title cut of the CD. It offers an invitation to examine the choices one has made in their past that need to be repented of, serving as a message of hope.

Worthy the Lamb: This is a clear presentation of the Gospel set in a context of worship. It tells why we praise God.

The Day Will Come: This is the concluding song. It presents a stark contrast to the first one where the outcome is death. Faith in Christ presents a different outcome — one of hope and expectation.
