Worthy the Lamb
This is a clear presentation of the Gospel set in a context of worship. It tells why we praise God.
God sent His Son; from heaven He came
To dwell with men that we might be saved.
Came in the flesh to live as a man.
Came here to die as God’s holy Lamb.
Blessing and honor, glory and power,
Riches and Wisdom, do we proclaim.
Casting our crowns we bow down before Him;
Worthy art Thou, the Lamb that was slain.
God’s sacrifice to put away sin;
Salvation to those that look for Him.
And by His blood redeemed now I am;
Glory to God, and praise to the Lamb.
Blessing and honor, glory and power,
Riches and Wisdom, do we proclaim.
Casting our crowns we bow down before Him;
Worthy art Thou, the Lamb that was slain.
Dwelling in our new heavenly home,
Serving our God who sits on the throne;
Clothed in white robes, before Him we stand;
Washed in the precious blood of the Lamb.
Blessing and honor, glory and power,
Riches and Wisdom, do we proclaim.
Casting our crowns we bow down before Him;
Worthy art Thou, the Lamb that was slain.
