The Kingdom-Driven Family

Building a Home That Serves Christ and His Kingdom

hurdlesScripture tells us to walk by faith, not by sight. That means that we, if we are to be faithful to the Bible’s teaching, must take God at His Word, not modifying it to match the circumstances we witness around us or any negative propaganda put forth by the enemies of Christ.

Here are three passages that I trust will encourage you as you begin 2017.

The Lord will perfect that which concerneth me: thy mercy, O Lord, endureth for ever: forsake not the works of thine own hands. (Psalm 138:8)

For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. (Eph. 2:10)

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. (Rom. 8:28)

Simply put, nothing that has transpired in 2016 or before is outside the providence of God. Whatever obstacles, problems, or challenges we faced, they all were aspects of God refining us to make us more like Christ. So, too, whatever lies ahead in 2017 is part of God perfecting that which He began in us, with the intent of bringing glory to His name, and benefit to us.

Here is a link to sermon by Dr. R.J. Rushdoony that covers this ground beautifully. I suggest you take the time to listen and consider its message.
